WHAT can be submitted? meritamun.com is about art and about writing, so we accept submissions, in writing such as short stories and poetry or artwork done with photoshop, drawn by hand and scanned or any other medium you make art with.

The first prize is a 15 USD giftcard from one of the following places:

Amazon.com

Target.com

Barnes and Noble.com

fye.com

(Winners from outside of the US: we can only send amazon gifts to countries other then USA and Canada)

The second place will recieve a 10 USD giftcard from one of the 4 choices the third a 5 USD giftcard.

The prizes go up if others donate to the prize pool.

MeritAmun.com’s ‘Patriotism 2417‘ Contest for July

Terms And Conditions Agreement

1. Submissions will be limited to one entry per contestant. Contestants may submit their entry in one of two qualification rounds, though not in both, and contestants may not submit a second entry at any time. Contestants may submit as their entry an original work of graphic art totaling no more than 3MB of diskspace in size and only in .JPG, an original work of prose totaling no more than 15,000 words, or an original poem totaling no more than 15,000 words, but may only submit work in a single medium. Submitted entries that are of a multi-media nature (i.e. Graphic art containing text) will be judged on their base media type (i.e. Graphic art containing text will be judged on its merits as graphic art, not as prose or a poem). Contestants who attempt to circumvent the ‘one entry per contestant’ rule will be disqualified from the contest completely. Any entries that are found to be unoriginal, or contain copyrighted material belonging to anyone but the contestant, will be removed from the contest and reported to the original creator.

2. By submitting an entry, the contestant agrees to allow MeritAmun.com the right to publicly display that entry on MeritAmun.com for the length of the contest. Each contestant will receive full credit for their displayed original work and will retain the full intellectual property rights to their entry.

3. Final judging will be decided solely by MeritAmun.com’s staff, though public opinion from visitors to the site will be given due consideration. Five entries from each qualification round will be selected as finalists, and will be displayed as such until the end of the contest when the final winning entries will be selected and announced.

4. Prizes will be given in the form of digital gift certificates only, no actual currency will be awarded. In addition, contest winners and finalists will be offered the chance to become permanent contributors to MeritAmun.com, the full details of which will be communicated directly to those contestants who qualify at the end of the contest.

5. The contest will be themed around the title ‘Patriotism 2417‘, and contestants are encouraged to be as creative as possible in creating their entry under that title. While there are no constrictions placed on the creative process, entries that do not in some obvious way fit the title ‘Patriotism 2417‘ will not be considered for the contest.
